Chris Brown | Single Premiere, “Love More” feat. Nicki Minaj
Get turnt up with Chris Brown in his new single, “Love More” feat. Nicki Minaj. The raunchy track serves as the third official single for his upcoming album X, previously titled Carpe Diem (release date August/September 2013). Although I’m loving this beat, I find it strange that Breezy is contributing a track that goes against his proclaimed new direction in music. He wanted to stray away from commercial beats, mainly pop. In Rolling Stone Magazine, he says,
I tried to stay away from the Euro beats, and not go totally pop. Instead, I wanted to take the Quincy Jones approach. The record pays homage to the Stevie Wonders, the Michael Jacksons, the Sam Cookes. I wanted to put that classic essence of R&B and soul with the new age of music now.
I think Chris did a great job conveying his album concept through his first single, “Fine China,” however, after changing the release date of his album, I think he’s losing sight of his original intentions. Like I said, I ain’t mad at it. It’s a catchy beat and fun to dance to! And I love the bluntness of it!
In addition to Nicki, X is expected to feature Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, Kelly Rowland, B.o.B, Wiz Khalifa, and more, with production from Timbaland, Diplo, Polow Da Don, Danja, Pharrell, and Drumma Boy.
